Dear Daddy,
I am a mother, now,
to a little girl I wish you could meet.
Debra Providence was born in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and is an educator and researcher. Her works have appeared in Caribbean Review of Gender Studies, Journal of Eastern Caribbean Studies, Scholar and Feminist Online, POUi, PREE, Callaloo, Sable, and the Journal of West Indian Literature. She holds a PhD and currently lectures in West Indian literature, African literature and film, poetry, and contemporary science fiction at the Cave Hill Campus of The University of the West Indies.
