Sonia Williams is a critically acclaimed director, performer as well as an educator, writer, and researcher in Caribbean culture. A Watson fellow to Nigeria 1989, Winner of the Governor General Award for excellence in Drama 1998 and third prize of the prestigious Frank Collymore Literary Endowment 2018 for her collection “ Her Bald Head Luminous” and again in 2019 for her collection “On Livity”. A writer of prose fiction, plays and poetry her work explores personal and social issues within forms of Standard English and Caribbean nation-languages. Her first Novella This Too Will Pass has received excellent reviews and is being used by some teachers in schools.
